Although best known for lettering, gilding and specialist decorating bushes, we have been producing fine art brushes for watercolour, oil, acrylic, and other mediums for over sixty years.
Series 305 – pure sable brights
The 305 pure kolinsky sable chisel-edged brights are a staff favourite for using with oil paint. The quality of the materials results in a very fine brush which leaves little to no drag mark and yet the length and density of hair gives the brush enough push power to be used with oils without too much thinning.
The long handles help keep work loose and make this brush and exceptional choice for an artist. Also available as a pointed brush in Series 300.
Chungking hog hair 315
For those who prefer to use traditional hog hair we have the 315, 315A and 316. All are made from carefully selected Chungking hog hair with naturally tapered ends. These brushes are imported direct and exclusively to us, and offer an unbeatable combination of quality and price. By far our most popular hog brush, the Chungking hog hair is incredibly durable.They are suitable for artists and scenic work alike.
Pointed sable for water colour
Series 66 are made using only the highest quality sable. The combination of finest raw materials and meticulous workmanship ensures a finished article which is flawless in every detail. For spring, shape and point these brushes are perfect. Similar to the series 33 but with more length.
Watercolour wash
The series 700P is a Pure Squirrel watercolour brush. Squirrel hair has a combination of incredible holding capacity and outstanding softness which has the ability to be moulded into a variety of forms. Series 700P is ideal for washes, pin point detail, wet on wet and hard edge long stroke painting.
Also available as a rounded mop in series 700.
